This is a funnier view on racism. This video is Dave Chappelle's Racial Draft.

Prince Williams County Is Not A Welcoming Place For People Of Color
This video is about racism in Prince Williams County, Virginia. According to the video, whites do not like people of color in their country. ESPECIALLY, if they are not "educated"
Racism In The View Of A Person Of Non-Color
This video is pretty self explanatory. It basically says that people of non-color should not care about the complaints that people of color have about racism if people of color do not care and use violence againts people of non-color

Sheriff Gone Mad
This article, “Jena Sheriff Seeks Revenge for Civil Rights Protests” is about a sherrif in Jena, Louisiana named Scott Franklin who was leading a mobilization called “Operation Third Option.” According to the sheriff, there are three options for drug dealers: one is to stop doing it immediately, the second option is to move away from it, and the third option is to spend the rest of their lives in prison. The sheriff called the mobilization “Operation Third Option” because he said no one was going to get away. Sheriff Franklin said “They will get put in handcuffs, put behind bars today and never see the light of day again unless they are going out on the playground in prison.” This mobilization consisted of more than 150 police officers. Sheriff Franklin told the police that they would be doing a major drug bust. This mobilization also targeted the black community.
One woman awoke to a gun pointed at her face with police filling up her house. The police were also pointing guns at her children and would not allow the woman to comfort her own children. No drugs were found in her house. The police thought they found a bag of marijuana in her kitchen but it turned out to be broccoli stems from her dinner the previous night. Others were abused by police and embarrassed by them. A man was tasered three times and put outside with no clothes on, since he was sleeping naked. I think that all of this is just absolutely absurd. No one should be treated like this even if they are a drug dealer.
I think that the title of the article describes exactly what happened in this situation. The sheriff did not like the results and mass protests of the Jena Six case and he decided he wanted to get back at the black community by basically humiliating them and physically abusing them.
Even The Young Can Be Racist
This article is about a group of psychologists led by Margaret Beale Spencer. Margaret Beale Spencer is a leading researcher in the field of child development and a professor at the University of Chicago. The group of four went to eight different schools and tested 133 children. They went to four schools in the New York City area and four in Georgia. After the students took the test, the psychologists analyzed the results. They noticed that, when asked which doll was bad or dumb, a white child would point to the doll with the darker complexion. As a conclusion, Margaret Beale Spencer said that “All kids…are exposed to the stereotypes. What’s really significant here is that white children are learning or maintaining those stereotypes much more strongly than the African-American children. Therefore, the white youngsters are even more stereotypic in their responses concerning attitudes, beliefs and attitudes and preferences than the African-American children.” Personally I think it depends on how you are raised and what type of parents or relatives you have. For example, some whites have passed their hatred towards people of color down generation after generation. There are also African-Americans who dislike other African-Americans. There are other African-Americans who have the same stereotypes and hatred for whites that whites have for blacks. In my opinion, an individual person might change their ways and not be racist, but racism is never going to stop as long as the human race exists. Hatred in general will never stop. As long as humans exist there is going to be racism, violence, etc.

Racism: Where Are The Lines Drawn?

This article is about people from politicians to regular people making racial taunts against President Obama. One image made him look like an African witch doctor and made his wife look like a gorilla. Personally, I think that racism in America will never fade away. There is always going to be racism in America. Some people are just raised by their parents or communities to hate another race. Some people might be civil amongst another race but that does not mean that they like them. Whether you are White, Black, Asian, or Hispanic you will always have some racial stereotype against another person’s race, whether it is poking fun at people or straight forward hatred.
I also believe that racism is a part of everyday life. Comedians make racial jokes all the time. I think that people laugh at it because they get nervous because racism is a sensitive subject. Some people object to comedians making racial jokes. I, however, do not care. I find a lot of jokes that other would consider racist, funny. I make racial jokes about my own race all the time. I just do not like it when you are in a serious situation and someone says something racist. You never know though. A funny situation can turn into a serious one in a heart beat. The line between funny and serious is sometimes difficult to see.

3 Actions For Racism
1. I wrote a letter to Jan Brewer, who is the governor of Arizona. I wrote her about my concern about the new immigration law. I told her that I think that police officers will use this to law harass people of color
2. I posted information about things happening around the world that people think are racist. The things I posted were in the news and also what other people thought were racial slurs in movies.
3. Finally, I had two speakers, Ashley and Heather (who work with me at the Gandhi Youth Brigade), Skype in and talk about times where racism had a roll in their lives.
